Adding new speakers to 2018 Cx 9
Unfortunately I bought my cx9 with Bose.
I am looking to add an AMP to the system without ripping the head unit (since you can’t)
Can someone who has done this share their setup , experience and advice ?
I was told to buy a signal summing device (LC8i from audio control) to sum all channels for amplification. I worry what about the blind spot and object detection beep noises.

As long as you don't have *BOSE(must eliminate the factory amp) and even if you did, the best way to do a speaker upgrade other than just replacing the factory speakers which are ok unless you are very particular, or an Audiophile is separate amps. And yes, you would need a LC8i or something other r the same and quality. Naturally amps. Presumably at this point you will be using separates so some may have to be wired. Done correctly you will still have control of the speakers using Mazda. This is very simplified explanation, installation is time consuming!
Thank you for the response. If I use a summing device liked it LC8i, will I lose directional Blindspot warning sounds. I will definitely lose navigation sound from the center speakers. They will now all come through all speakers instead of the center. I do have the ***** and my intentions is to add an aftermarket amp.

I had a BOSE system with center channel. I removed the center speaker. I turn off my directional sound because instead of center it is surround and was annoying. I had planned originally to go back into my system and wire a center speaker dedicated for Bluetooth for cell phone and NAV but never got around to it. Oh I don't use Bluetooth because the sound was wired factory for drivier side speaker. In my system that would have been drivers pillar Focal tweeters. Think about that. Annoying! LOL
The installation had a lot of trial and error attempts many speakers changing until I settled on Focals and 2x P3s and a dozen or more calls to tech services at Rockford. I used a Rockford Fosgate 3Sixtyy.3 Programable 8-channel digital signal processor.
Here is a most of the nontechnical install .
