My girl friend recently bought a 2018 CX9 (used) and we were trying to do the retrofit for apple carplay. We may of messed up the steps, and now we get to about 2% before it says
"Install Not Successful: System Failure Make sure that the USB with update package is inserted. System will then automatically retry the update"
It will reach about 2% again, and display this error message again. Basically seems like it's stuck in a loop.
I am not sure what I can do to get out of this message, or if anyone has some good suggestions. I tried disconnecting the battery, but when I turned the car on to that screen, it kept doing the same thing.
I don't know if maybe leaving the car battery off for longer would help, I doubt it.
Just looking for some good suggestions Failure message Gets to about here and stops
Thank you guys, and if it has been "bricked" could someone suggest some options?
It's not bricked yet. I'm assuming you have installed failsafe.up first, correct?
Try another USB key, formatted FAT32 (use a Windows PC) and another firmware version, from version 70.00.335 + it's all in one file.
Ah crap, I haven't installed failsafe.up first. Also, I am looking into a new USB, I heard that some people had better luck with a lower sized flash drive. I have formatted mine to FAT32 on a Windows PC.
