2018-2020 Model Any Known Issues??
Hi all, I'm interested in upgrading from a CX5 to a 2018-2020 model CX9 2.5L Ltd, and keen to know before I jump in, is there any common faults??
With our current 2013 CX5 2.2 diesel, we've had numerous issues including full engine replacement and lucky enough it was fully covered by Mazda NZ. But had I have done my research first I'd have found out about this and likely not brought it. Anyhow, not wanting to repeat my previous mistake, hence why I'm seeking advice on the CX9.

Common faults? Yes.
Fixed under the 3yr warranty? Also Yes.
Anything Major? Not really.
Make sure all Recalls have been carried out. Make sure PCM software is up to date. Make sure MZD connect software is up to date. ** All are available only from Mazda service department **

Software issues, mainly the MZD system.
Noisy brakes.
Check with Mazda NZ, cause all Mazda's sold in Australian after August 1 2018 had 5yrs warranty. I don't know their policies.
