After going in to the Mazda dealer to purchase new wiper blades for my 2017 CX-9, I was shocked to find that they cost $60!
I asked if they sell the wiper blade refills, of which they do for a total of $13... for both driver and passenger side....well that was a no brainer.
The wipers on the CX-9 have end caps, and there is 1 youtube video showing how to remove the end caps but it does not pertain to the 2017 CX-9.
So, if you want to save approximately to $50 on wiper blades, here is how you remove the end caps:

Remove the wiper blade from the arm.....very simple, press the button release on the arm and slide the wiper blade down and out.
Your only going to remove 1 end cap on the wiper blade, and to do this, pull out the old rubber completely.
You will see after removing the rubber, the end cap has an indentation tab....using an awl tool, push down on the indentation tab and pull the cap straight off.
Slide the new rubber insert all the way to the end. The end cap can only go on one way. There is a metal insert that you will see after removing the rubber and end cap. This metal insert slides, but must stay in place because you will see on the metal insert the hole that you pushed the tab through to remove the end cap.
Hold the arm and rubber together and slide the end cap back on, making sure that everything lines up...push into place until you see the indentation tab snap back into place.
Total time: 5 minutes...savings of $50
