2015 CX-9 Steering pulling on highway

2015 CX-9 Steering pulling on highway
I just bought this car new and I had to get it aligned right away at 300 miles in.
However, on the highway it is pulling to the left which requires me to turn the steering wheel 3-5 degrees to the right to hold course.
This is getting annoying and I am being told that this is normal design of the car. I have driven a lot of cars due to the need to rent cars for work often and never ran into this issue.
So, how is this not a big complaint on a car that has been in its current platform for 9 years that is well noted?
