My ptu needs replacement again after almost 9 years/95000. Replaced originally at 3 years/36000 under warranty. Question is, are the transmission splines in working order, or not? If not, it would require rebuilding. What are chances that the tranny spines are good? I had no warning that the ptu not working other than spinning wheels on wet roads. And no oil burning smell.
