Wondering why my tranny fluid is dark brown after only about 7500 miles? I'm guessing overheating from something. Fluid first changed at 44000/5 years 3 months old by dealer. Dealer didn't say anything about dark fluid. Second fluid change at 77000/ 9 years 3 months old. Very dark fluid, no particles, no codes according to reliable/trusted garage that changed it. Had it just changed today at 84000. Car was 10 years old Jan. 12, 2022. Again, very dark brown fluid. Any guesses as to problem? At the 77000 mile mark (and about 2000 miles before that), I was experiencing delayed/long upshift issues after coming down a hill and then road leveling out. It went away upon fluid flush. The tranny shifted like new from then until now.
