Hello, i replaced the brake booster in our cx9 and a few things happened...wrench light came on dash, when headlights are on the dash lights stay dim, no cruise control and gas mileage has dropped. Doesnt feel like its in low power mode, but just feels different...has any of this happened to anyone else?

 

Wrench light - Scan for codes.
Dash lights - check dimmer switch.
Cruise control - check brake lights, then brake light switch.
Gas mileage - scan for codes, check live data for A/F sensors & O2 sensors, also anything upset/dislodged during booster repair.

 

Thanks, yea i pushed the dimmer button in and it brightened the dash, but you loose the adjustment on it. I am going to order a new break switch and check the codes when i get back in town later this week

 

My cruise control was acting up until I had the break switch installed.

 

I just replaced the brake light switch on my wife's 2012 CX-9 Touring, the third brake light was not coming on and the wrench light on the dash would come on intermittently, we took it for some other services, transmission flush, coolant flush. We didn't notice that the third brake light was not working and the shop that did the services did not allude to that so I cannot say for sure when it had stopped working. In any case I had ordered a brake light switch as it was a cheap fix an didn't want to spend hundreds diagnosing and possibly changing the 3rd brake light if it was still working, after changing the switch the 3rd brake light now works. My cruise control was is also not working but I haven't had a chance to test it yet since changing the switch, I hope it remedies that issue as well. "Update - I tested the cruise control and it now works"
