Default Battery won't get out of Battery Saving mode

I have a 2024 CX-90 (not the EV version). I recently was on vacation for 4 weeks away from the vehicle and had the battery hooked up to a trickle charger during that time. After disconnecting the trickle charger, the vehicle started the annoying chime and displayed a notice that the car was in Battery Saver mode and to drive the vehicle to charge the battery. I've driven the car for five days now and about 175 miles and it still displays that notice when I shut it off. The chime goes on for about 30 seconds. It happened one other time, but cleared after I drove it about 450 miles in one trip. Do I have to drive the car that far each time after it sits for a few weeks to sufficiently recharge the battery?

Welcome to the forum

I would take your MAZDA ASAP to
www.maitamazda.com

Yes I am partial to this dealership.... and know that the service department will take care of you.

This is important because they will load test your battery check the charging system and also re-set all the perimeters that may have changed while you were away and had the Battery tender in use. They will also make sure that there are no DTC or pending issues.

Because you are under full WARRATY this is very important that you let them deal this concern so that in the future if a problem arises having to do with your electrical system electronic or charging system you will have it as VIN HISTORY .

I do recommend that the battery charger you use should be of the brand NOCO
I would also not really post what brand you use or mention it if you are not asked.

I had my new CX-90 a month and the battery went bad. They said it has happened due to bad batch of batteries. My new one has been perfect since that time. It happens to all manufacturers that buy in bulk. I've had bad batteries on occasion from retail auto parts places.

Not sure what dealership told to that but its not accurate nor is it true. Most batteries that go bad when you buy a new off the dealership lot are caused from frequent fast charging and discharging due to HUMAN error.
The 2 biggest reasons are:
Salesman leave doors open after showing vehcle
Security system not set due to a door or hatch left open

This is also frequently we read on forums that some do not get a factory installed battery when they buy their new off the dealership lot vehcle.

There is no such thing as a perfect BATTERY (yet).

The average life for a battery since about 2015 is 5 years. The battery is generally declining long before that but most do not on a regular maintenance have their battery load tested they just go about driving and stating it to be "PERFECT" !
Most have no clue the actual age of their battery!
