The end sound resuklts will vary between users. I can tell you that unless a person that has the system discribes the sound only after about 2 or more season thaen the discription will not be the best for cccomparision. The mufflers they use will "burn-in" and will change thier tone at about the 3000 mile of use or 2-3 moths. The tome will change to a slightly loader then when first installed. At cruising speed and not constatanly throtling to manin tain a set speed it may be aceptable for the perfromance system but under aceration or under laod it will let you knmow that there is not stock exhust system parts.

Any aftermarket exhaust system (CAT back or rear section) that uses basically a loose material and not baffles or chambers will all have the same break-in period before the end sound can be judged.
Most aftermarket perfromance exhust compnies and suppiers generally will not stae thier interanl parts use unless you contact them diorect and then mabe? No one really once to know that those stainless steel nice looking exhaust parts have basically stainless or plain steel wool to reduce the sound levels. Ever take a match to wither of those materials?

Hey I have used and tried Racing Beat, OBX, and Cork sport on my Mazda. I prefer the OBX. but only becuase of personal choice and nothing having to do with quality or perfromance.

I’m confused with your response. You say drone maybe acceptable and it will get louder. I don’t want Drone at highway speeds

IF the exhaust system you choose had stainless steel wool then as the mufflers or resonator break in they will get loader up to a point at about 3000 miles of use where the noise level will be somewhat what it ends up for a few years. However, no one with those types of mufflers can judge what each vehcle usage and dozens of variables will be that will contribute to the end noise level. Thease systemare are NOT design for anything other then looks and sound. so if that is what you want then expect a 50/50 chance they will end with an aceptable sound you like. If it is for looks and you are worried about the sound then go to a perfronace or custom muffler shop and have them either install some nice tips or build a rear system with a bafuled muffler that will sound as it was installed for several many years and trouble free miles.

Dont take this wrong but having sold so many exahust system(mostly perfronace) and parts for decades , peky customers about what they expected the sound should be with some resonators and mufflers is why I never engineerd and dessign my own line of perfomance mufflers.

Question not answered still. I can’t hear stock exhaust at highway speeds. If you have the AFE CX70 Exhaust. Stock vs AFE at highway speeds

Buyer beware..
geeez ....
It does not nessisarly work like the question you want a deifintive answer. ! So that leads me to belive that you have little or no expernce with perfromance exhaust parts.
I cant find the actaul comany so there fore I can give you better information then a blankit statement of what tyo expect!!!
I don't need to have tried a muffler or resonator to know what it will sound like in the beginning and as it ages or use or miles of use.

Why dont you contact the retailer of the product you are interested in and ask them and see what they tell you? Then compare it to what I just spent time intrying to help you and expalin about perfroance mufflers and resinators

Sir I have contacted AFE. They say no drone but slightly louder sound. I wanted the response of someone who has actually installed this on a 2025 CX70 3.3 turbo. Yes I have many years experience with vehicle exhaust. I know what drone is. You haven’t said if you have this exhaust

I don't need as I said to use some products to know what they will sound like. however, I very well know the Skyactiv gas engine in all induction configuration and their factory exhaust to know how an aftermarket exhaust will sound.

Besides I just talked to 3 so called techs and they kept passing me along because only the 3rd one (the head of the Q&A tech department actually could answer simple questions. He offered me a job... as a phone tech. LOL

This was my summary not AFE's btw!
The muffler from AFE is a 4 chambered design. The system is a rear set only. It does not replace the factory mid-section and factory resonator. So the sound will be deep at idle speeds and low RPM but likely close to quiet like stock on highway at legal speed limits.
Chambered mufflers in rear section will not increase any performance levels and are more for look and that low engine speed sound than anything else. Because they are chambered muffler, they will not produce a drone when used as designed.
I should mention that the muffler itself does not use high quality stainless steel for the core and body so depending on the use environment may only last a 2-5 years before problems start internally or externally.

Good luck with your choice.
