2025 CX-70 report
Hello Mazda folks,
Its only been 12 days since we got our 2025 cx-70 turbo s premium. I have not encountered or felt shudder or hesitation form acceleration, both with i-stop disabled or not. That i-stop is my only big issue at this time, I want to disable it permanently like what I've done with my BMWs. Maybe its too new for coders to even attempt disabling by code but if anyone reads this and know of a way, please let me know. I just don't care for this auto stop/start feature.
Reading about other postings about cx90/cx70 issues, Mazda probably corrected some of early production problems and hopefully fixed them for good. My build date is June 2024. I hope this will not be a problematic vehicle.

Just turned 2k on my CX-70. I wouldn't call it a shudder, per se, but the 1st-2nd gear transition seems rough (maybe a hesitation as you stated). I will let dealer know about it when I get my first service (will do early). Also, the two minor rattling noises that kind of drive me crazy. Otherwise, we love our new vehicle.
I think I read in the manual they can't allow the I-stop to be turned off permanently as it interferes with certain drive modes or functions??? I just make it the second "click" after the start button (which I hate, lol).

I've had my car for two weeks now. It's a CX70 Premium Plus S. The more I drive it the more I love it. For a heavy car it handles well. I'm really impressed with my gas mileage. With a light foot I got over 30 mpg last fill up. Granted it was not many stops and going easy on the throttle. Overall, I'm impressed.
we have istop in another vehicle we own by another manufacturer...i installed an autostop eliminator which is a plug & play wire harness which gives the istop button a memory so it will still function but it won't default to being on every time you start the car...the problem is that they don't make one for mazdas...the workaround i have seen is people depress the istop button and wedge something like a plastic bread clip between the edge of the button and the edge of the button housing to keep the button depressed and istop will stay off...you could also install a jumper wire between the 2 wires connecting to the button on the back side of the button so they are always making connection...good luck

why would an active member post such a bad unsafe "LAME" video from another Mazda forum. Even MacGyver would never do that!
This is really not only BAD advice and I highly recommend that no one this forum as well other visitors reading this does that BAD potentially could be damaging to the electrical system ,ECU or other monitoring systems.
