07 cx7 awd 70K trans started hanging up in 3rd gear had to turn off ign and restart to return to 1st ,Dealer flashed TCM same thing 2 more times they said needed trans bought used with 50K had installed now doing same thing had it flashed got same problem ,could it be a computer problem? Cant afford another R&R.Disabled Vet needs help bad need .

 

What trouble codes are you getting?

 

I only get one code off and on it says anti knock sensor.Had to drive it yesterday to store went through all 6 gears corectly then hung in 3rd at my corner back at home ,total run about 2 mi.

 

Who's reading the codes for you?

Non genuine code readers lack the database & scope that Mazda's tester has. Not many low cost testers can read transmission codes.

 

When it all started I called Mazdas 800 number coustomer care to se if maybe it was a recall ,got a Rep that was great help explain to him the problem he said lets get it in to Mazda Dealer he called there here in Lansing Mi had us on 3 way call ,the service mgr said bring it right in got there they said would get on it and also fix recall for lower control arm . Picked up next day they said it was shifting normal ,I left drove home all ok Went to store next morn it hung up in 3rd again called dealer back they said bring it back ,I did the next day they said Trans needed replaced quoted me nearly 4 grand took car home looked for good used trans .Found this one in Indiana with 51k for $600 had it shiped here took to local well known trans shop they did R&R FOR $900 .Got it in does same thing they took back to Mazda dealer had it flashed or what ever they do another $ 110 dollars picked it up next day same thing . I just couldn't believe both low mi trans the same .Have to have second trans pulled pay for shipping back was in hopes it was electrical prob but here I set out over 2k hopeing for some good luck. P.S couldn't be as lucky as several yrs ago had GMC PK UP hung up in 2nd gear just changed both shift solenoids and I was back in business ,not the same these days TKS
