Default High idle on start up

Hey guys, I’ve got a 2010 cx7 2.3L turbo, it idles at 2000 rpms for about 30 or so seconds on start up is that normal or should I be looking for a vacuum leak? My other cars might idle a little high on start up and take about the same time or less to calm down, but the 2000 seems higher than what I’ve ever been used to. Also I’ve never had a vehicle with a turbo before so I didn’t know if that would have anything to do with it

Thanks for any help!!

This is normal for mazda 2.3 turbo. The engine revs at strat up to build up fuel pressure for direct injection.
There is no issue here.

Default High idle start

Yeah it's normal but to me it seems brutal on a cold engine. When I start mine I put it straight into drive with my foot on the brake to slow revs under load. I haven't had an issue doing that on cold start for a few years now

I am having the same issue; but the problem I am having is that Check Engine light comes on after the cars first startup of the day.
The error says 4th cylinder misfire; but my mechanic and I move the spark plug & coil to another cylinder and we get the same error (P0304).
Any help solve this annoying issue, would be appreciated.

Common problem with excessive build up on both valves and fuel injectors.

Remove the intake manifold, remove the fuel rail, clean the intake track & valves. Fit new injectors, refit manifold ( with new gasket)
