Exhaust smoke, not from turbo
CX-7 Another Engine Smoke, NOT FROM TURBO
I have a 09 CX-7 with 68k miles and it has a smoking issue at start up, after sitting for a while. This problem, in my opinion it is not from the turbo. The reason I say that is because the smoke happened only after the car has sat for a long time. If you let it sit only 24 hr it only smokes for about a minute or two at start up. After that it's fine. If you let it sit for 4-5 days it will smoke for several minutes at start up. I have let the car idle for extended periods of times and it doesn't smoke, which is a sign of a bad turbo.
Has anyone had similar problems? Going a higher grade oil does help but the smoke is still there. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
