Default Doors Won't Lock from Inside

Hi all! Glad I could join you all! So I crashed my 2007 Mazda CX-7 in February, and one of the things I needed was a new mirror. I managed to get the door panel off and install the mirror. However, when I put the door panel back on (made sure the plugs were in the correct place), the doors won't lock when using the lock button on the inside of the door itself. It will lock if I use my key though. Any idea on what it might be, and what could be done to fix the problem?

No. I'm thinking it's the battery, as the passenger's side also won't work, and I haven't touched that one. And all the electronics seem to be dead atm.

it looks like there is some damage done to the wiring inside of the door. Most cars the switches lock/unlock are designed as series setup. If one goes down then the whole system won't work. I would recheck your connections to see that all pins are in the plug.
Also, cx-7's are known for broken wires.
