Default 2011 CX-7 2.5 A/C Question

Howdy all,
My wife recently picked up a used 2011 Mazda CX-7 with the 2.5. The only thing wrong is the a/c doesn't work. The previous owner claimed that he messed up one of the lines while removing them(the car was wrecked and rebuilt) and therefore the system had the freon all leak out. I have purchased both the high and low side lines which I will replace myself and then test the system if it holds a vacuum. I would like clarification whether the compressor is one that holds it's own oil, or whether I should add oil to the system when recharging. I know the compressor engages when the a/c switch is pressed, so I am assuming for the moment that it is functional.

Oil is added when recharging the system. If the system has been open for sometime, you will need a receiver drier.
