Aloha everyone,

I just got a 2010 Mazda CX-7 that doesn't reverse. It drives forward fine but doesn't reverse.
The code under Transmission Control Module TCM says U0401:00-2F Invalid data received from ECM/PCM

I figured before I tow it to the shop to have a look maybe a wire is disconnected or something maybe even order a PCM from ebay and try swapping it.

The problem is and the reason I'm here today, I can't frekin find it.
Older models have the TCM under the battery so I took out the battery and the battery base and I can't find it.

There is no youtube video or any google search that shows the location of the TCM. The dealer is closed today and its driving me crazy.

Where is the TCM on 2010 mazda CX-7?????

 

Under dashboard driver side,

 

that’s the body control module. I checked there

 

Google says its mounted under the shift cable.

 

Probably you missed it should be in the vicinity of BCM

 

Hey, have you found a solution? I have the same problem. It moves a few feet in reverse and disconnects the gear.
