Thought I would post this here because I couldn't find any info on this. I recently converted my 2008 2.3 fwd Cx-7 to a 2.5 with the 2011 interior. i tried to get the 2.5 stuff to work with the 2008 interior but couldn't not get it to communicate so I ended up swapping the 2011 interior but it wasn't a big deal because I had the whole parts car. The 2 shells are nearly identical, The only difference I found is the 2008 does not have the holes for the Bluetooth module bracket, not a big deal. Taking the interiors out on these are pretty easy so don't be discouraged. I purchased my 2011 donor with good airbags for $650 from IAAI and have made about half that back selling some the 2008 parts online. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Im working on a list of parts i swapped/didn't swap

 

Hi duckboy! Hey I'm trying to replace my 2011cx7 front clip with a 2008. Do you think it will work? I found the 2008 at a local junkyard cheap but not sure if it will fit. What do you think since you have both models?
By the way do you have front end parts for that 2011?

 

What parts in your front end do you need to replace ?

 

Front clip basically. Fenders R and L, bumper plus grill inserts. Crash guard behind the bumper.

 

I know the hood,fenders, and front crash bar are the same from 2007-2012, You will need the 2007 fender liners.for sure,

I am not sure about the headlights and radiator support, I can't tell how they are different but the part numbers are different, Im using 2008 headlights with the 2011 harness so its not a electrical difference

The 2008 stuff will for sure bolt into your 2011, The only difference i found in the 2 shells was on the interior

I do not, My 2011 donor had a trashed front end
