Unhappy 07 CX-7 Head Gasket

It looks like I need a new head gasket on my CX-7 it is blowing coolant out of the reservoir tank and combustion gas. I am trying to decide if it is worth it since in reading the message boards it is clear that with this year and model there is also a known issue with the timing chain stretching and the vvt accuator going. How much extra time is it to replace those two items while doing the head gasket.

You need to remove both camshafts and the timing chain in order to remove the cylinder head.

The chain & VVT actuator problems where few & far between also. Once again the biggest problem is lack of, or incorrect maintenance.

Default Repairs

Thanks Grim_Reaper. If I have all that replaced would you expect the engine to hold up for another 50K miles atleast? I have always maintained this car well.

With good & proper servicing these engines will do 120,000 miles.
