I have a Mazda fitted Towbar which has a button in the boot to deploy the towbar. Usually the button is illuminated when the tailgate opens, but at the moment it isn't lit, and if I press the button the towball doesn't drop down.

It has been working fine for nearly two years (we bought the car in September 2022) on the numerous trips we have made with our caravan, but today when I went to collect the caravan the towball would not come down so we can't go on our planned holiday this weekend.

Has anybody got any quick solutions, or do I have to wait until I can get our local Mazda dealer to investigate and fix it?

 

That's weird as I have the official Mazda toe bar that is obvious below the bumper all the time. There is no drop down. My cr is a CX-90 though so yours maybe specific to your car. Could be a 3rd party product as well. Dealer time.
