Hi Folks - Today is a proud day for me to buy a new 2014 CX5 but when i drove the car to my home i see a white smoke coming out from the car and it smells too. As soon as the engine is turned off everything stops and becomes normal.

Called up the dealership and asked, they say it is completely normal. Has anyone of you experienced anything like this before?

Appreciate replies, and that quick ones are really great to the concerned part of me. Thanks!

It's quite possible someone spilled some fluid when they were filling it up and it's burning on the exhaust. Some exhaust components are also sprayed to protect them until use.

 

Sorry, I did not experience that.

(But on day 1, I drove my CX-5 35 miles or so from dealership to home)
