Hi All, New to Mazda and this forum. Not new to cars and trucks. I am an old guy. We are buying a 2020 CX-5 GT with the whistle and bells package. It will be my wife’s car.

I am looking for opinions on break in, etc. This ain’t my first new car rodeo, so yeah, read the manual, watch the videos, enjoy the new car smell. I could give reasons for the purchase, but I would be preaching to the choir and I am a preacher so I don’t need to do more of that.

Your thoughts are welcome.

 

Didn't do anything special for the break-in, maybe a little more gentle during the first 1000 miles.

My son is so excited he just got a 2021 CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo just off the ship a few days ago. He LOVES IT ! Me too !

Just bought a blue signature. I always hit all the options when dreaming of buying a car, now I did it in real life. I wish mazda still made brighter colors that were not red.

 

Back in the Mazda gang here. Just got a CX-5 Carbon as they had that on the lot when I stopped by on Friday and it had all of 5 miles on it.

 

Has Anybody had problems with Yokohama Geolander tyres on nearly new cars ? They started cracking between the treads on all 4 tyres after 8 -9 K miles. No joy from dealer who said it was because of low mileage. Car was not yet 3 yes old. Heard of an other customer who had same problem on car at 18 k.
