Default Walnut blasting

I plan on doing walnut blasting on my cx5. worked on cars all my life, Just these newer ones a little tougher with all the electronics. In my older cars when i wanted to see spark or just turn engine over . I would just hook up remote starter switch to starter motor relay whether relay on starter or in some cases relay separate from starter. Makes it easier when i make repairs by myself. I do this on cars boats motorcycles or any motor where getting to starter switch is difficult. I am always by myself making repairs. My question is. When doing the walnut blasting you have to turn engine by hand to cycle the valves. will it be ok to use remote switch so i can see valves or will i set too many codes?

The DTC can be cleared and will not reactivate the check engine light and the other 1/2 dozen by not manually rotating the crankshaft will remain in the permanent file as well 1 to all your l/M monitors in negative status for between 2 and 5 complete engine cycles. At which time everything should be cleared and good to even get pass an emissions test.

But if you are careful and use your remote starter switch just like you use to and not touch the anything except the starter solenoid there is no difference .just make sure that you disconnect the connector on the stater solenoid to prevent any current possibly going into the main electrical system.
