Default Visual difference(s) between 2019 N/A / Turbo?

Hi

My wife bought a 2019 CX-5 GT Turbo (allegedly, according to the sales person) a few years ago. It had been driven by a salesman for about 6 months prior to us purchasing it. It's been a great vehicle to us. Above all, I'm still impressed with the overall quality and fit/finish of the interior. It easily rivals brands that are charging much more.

That being said, I never really questioned whether or not it was actually the turbo model until this week. I saw a CX-5 while driving which had a turbo badge under the skyactive badge on the hatch. Ours does not have a turbo badge. I don't drive it all that often myself, and have never really paid attention to whether or not there are any forced induction sounds during acceleration.

It got me wondering if there is a quick way to know for sure whether ours is in fact equipped with the turbo engine. Are there perhaps turbo-specific features/differences that would confirm this?

Thanks for your time!

If you Mazda is all wheel drive, it has a turbo.
The "turbo" sticker is either taken from a different brand vehicle or
purchased aftermarket. E-bay (?)

My 2¢

You could also look for the intercooler in the front lower grille.

Just make sure you don't have Skyactiv-Z. It's Skyactiv-G with VTEC and VVT-i you want.

Some of you are posting good information, unfortunately if you read the first response it would be better to post pictures as examples of your information. If he was asking it is likely he will not know those things, you are posting about.

The CX-5 badge was increased in size for 2020 and the "Skyactiv" badge was changed slightly.

For 21, a "turbo" badge was added for turbo models.

@Dennis AWD has been available since the debut in 2013. The 2.5 turbo was introduced for the 19 model year.

You can't go by the TURBO badge.
My N/A has a fancy red TURBO badge right where it should be...courtesy of my practical joker son.
