I have a 2021 CX-5 Touring. The owners manual states that through Mazda Connect you can change vehicle settings such as doors and exterior lighting. But, when I enter Settings, Vehicle Settings is greyed out and I don't have the option to select it. Is this option only available on the Grand Touring Model?

 

The touch screen won't work while moving. Were you parked at the time?

 

It isn't a touch screen. It's controlled by the commander switch.

 

Are you referring to in vehicle settings? Mazda connect isn't needed to do this. Just use the commander dial to go to settings and click away. Mazda Connect is for your cell phone to control things like remote start, locking doors, etc.

 

I know how to get to settings but some of the options are greyed out.

 

If that's the case it must be your trim level as you said. GT and above has a lot more features.

 

you need to double tap Start button without stepping on brake pedal or engine on.
