For my music, I use a USB Flash Drive with ~8GB of music and inserted into the USB3 socket nearest the gear shift. It works well—except when it doesn’t appear in the source list, which happens about every 5th time. Yet, without me doing anything, it will probably show up next time I drive the vehicle. It looks as though the contents are downloaded into the cars audio system (flash drive light flashing), which takes a certain amount of time. But, sometimes it “forgets” to download. Anyone experienced this and/or have some advice?

 

Have you tried another USB drive? Maybe it has an intermittant issue with connection?

 

Definitely could be this.
