Hi all-

I have a 2016.5 Mazda CX-5. Normally, when I press unlock on the remote, press lock on the remote, or lock from the inside button, the turn signals will flash and there will be an audible beep(not horn).


I just picked it up from being serviced and it no longer beeps at all. It just honks if I press lock twice. I tried the computer system lock settings but didn't see anything promising. Please help! Thanks.

 

Did you look in the owners' manual?

 

Yes, I did. It didn't mention anything. Just that if you lock from the inside button the car will lock.

 

I presume the OM that came with your car is marked 2016 and not 2016.5? Look on page 5-49 under "Settings-locks".

 

Correct it says 2016. Page 5-49 simply just says that "door locks" is a setting offered in the "vehicle settings" using the infotainment system. But there is no setting for sounds/beep.

 

Take it back to the dealer and let them deal with it.
