Turn off weather alerts?

I have turned off the weather + traffic updates in Sirius and am still receiving weather notifications. How do I turn them off?

When the alert pops up, don't you have the option to disable alerts on the bottom left of the screen???

No. There is only an option for "details" or "close". No other options .

It's great to get an alert from time to time, but Hurricane Dorian was last week, and when the storm was a thousand miles away, I kept getting alerts--that continue today.

I would like to find a way to limit the alerts to your general area. Last night, I was getting alerts for storms 100 miles away and I had a route entered going in the opposite direction. Typically, I have never heard of the counties listed in the alerts.
Another warning I wish I could figure out how to turn off is the notification of the speed limits in a State when I cross the State line in my 2019 Mazda3. What is the point of telling us that you can drive 55 on country roads in Maryland when the speed limit signs seldom say more than 45? Is Mazda trying ti kill us?
