Default Turn off folding mirrors

I have a 2019 cx5 grand touring reserve. We had our first snow and the mirrors were lightly frozen in the closed position. I'd like to turn that feature off, but i can't find it as an option in the manual. Perhaps I'm missing it?

Right beside the mirror adjuster switch should be the Auto fold switch.

I guess i wasn't clear. I want to stop the mirrors from folding when i lock the doors. That switch just allows me to fold the mirrors with the switch. I want to stop them from folding.

The switch can be set to fold in position, fold out position or Auto ( which folds when locking & unlocking )

You want to keep the mirrors in the extended (folded-out) position so they do not move when the car is shut off.

There is a procedure to do this (i.e. disable the folding mirror function).

I recall reading it in the OM. I'll look again.

Here is how you can cancel and/or restore the folding-mirror function:

Canceling the automatic folding
function
To cancel the automatic folding function,
carry out the following procedure using
the master control switches.
1. Switch the ignition ON.
2. If the power window lock switch is in
the unlock position, switch it to the
lock position.
3. Press and hold the front passenger's
power window switch and rear left/
right power window switches on the
driver's door at the same time for 3
seconds or longer.
NOTE
 The automatic folding function cannot
be canceled if the procedure is not
completed within the specified times, or
the procedure is changed along the way.
To redo the procedure, first switch the
ignition off and proceed from the
beginning.
 If you are unable to cancel the function
despite doing the cancellation
procedure, consult an Authorized Mazda
Dealer.
Restoring the automatic folding
function
With the automatic folding function in the
canceled state, repeat the previous
procedure for canceling the function and it
will be restored.
NOTE
If you are unable to restore the function
despite carrying out the restore procedure,
consult an Authorized Mazda Dealer.

Why is this not in the menu? It definitely should be.

I agree. This should be an item in the Mazda Connect menu (somewhere) which you could checkmark on/off (rather than play with the power window switches).

Another candidate not there: turning DRL's off/on.

Default Auto Folding Mirrors - Clarification

I turned the auto-fold off for the winter months in order to prevent any damage if the mirrors were frozen in the shut or open position. Had no problem. Now, I want to turn them back on and can't seem to get it to work. Maybe I'm not following the same procedure I used to turn them off. Just to be clear on one thing. I hold down the front passenger window button and the rear driver's side window button for three seconds, correct? Or do I hold down the front passenger button and BOTH rear window buttons. I think I've tried all combinations, but want to be sure before going to the dealership.

Thanks.
