Default Trip Computer - Trip Time

I've just recently purchased a new 2018 CX5 (Grand Touring). So far I am loving the car - handles great, good mpg, great looking, comfortable ride - all the things i purchased it for.

I have one very very very small complaint. There doesn't seem to be any display anywhere on the car of the "Trip Time" or "Total time elapsed" for the current drive. This is something that i've grown accustomed to in previous cars - and have become surprisingly dependent on in different scenarios.

Is there some display on the main display or dashboard that i am missing? Any way to change a setting to have this displayed?

Would love any help anyone could provide.
thanks

I've never heard of such a feature before. Certainly, not on a Mazda.

My VW's had it. My wife's Subaru.. I believe i have a friend with a Toyota that has it. I find it handy for figuring out how long i've been driving (and how long i have left to get where i'm going) as i always forget exactly when i left. good for long trips, when out from work on a lunch break, etc..etc..

obviously not a big problem.. but I've had my car 4 days - and i already miss it!

Has anyone had any positive experience with aftermarket "OBD" / "HUD" units that can report stats such as this? Thanks.

My Acura has an elapse time feature as well; if I am not mistaken, our Mazda3 only has such a feature in the most general of senses in that it has a funky bar graph which shows Average MPG in time slices.

yes - i've stumbled upon that display on the cx-5. It's moderately helpful.. until you get past the 10 minute mark - then its only in blocks of 10 minutes. It's been a few weeks of ownership and I'm loving my CX5.... but i do miss this feature. Maybe i'll have to figure out some aftermarket option.

This is a close as you'll get "if" your model has it.
