I bought a 2015 Mazda CX-5 without navigation. Now I would like to install a TomTom. But before I do that I like to know if the radio can be playing while the navigation system is on?

Well, the factory installed TomTom plays while the radio is on; guess that applies to an after-market one.

Yes it does, I added it to our CX5.
By the way, very simple to install yourself.

wht not change for a stereo with gps in it:

Marno, not sure why I should change from the original unit since it has GPS???
By the way my usb port is working perfectly now, fast download and starts from the last position.
