I am in Queensland, Australia. I have recently bought a 2012 2 litre automatic CX-5 with 200k on the clock. I have much of the official Mazda service history with no mention of a timing belt replacement. Can anyone tell me if it is fitted with a chain or a belt?

 

Timing chain.

There should never be any reason for it to require replacement.
