Mazda cx5 2012 Diesel, buy or avoid ?
Hi, I am considering to buy a used 2012 Mazda Cx5 Max sport 2.2L, diesel, logged 157,000km, selling at 10,900 AUD.
Honestly I am really keen to buy it due to the good price, but when I research more, I saw a lot of complaints about CX5 diesel version. Some claims that will explode etc due to DPF problem. There are also really good comments, though relatively lesser.
I don’t usually do long haul drive. If I drive it’s typically around 10min. Every week or fortnight I might do a long drive ~ 30 min.
Initially the salesman told me it’s a petrol car, that’s why I was interested. It was then found out that the salesman remembered it wrongly, and I am now a bit hesitant whether or not to buy or avoid since I have put much effort into researching it.)
Can I humbly ask for your opinion? Should I buy this car? Or should I avoid. Thanks !!!
TBH, don’t really need SUV, but it’s such a good deal, that’s why I was drawn to it in the first place.
Thank you!
