Thought on used 2019,20 CX-5 GT vs new 2021
Nice choice!
Consider PPF due to rock chipping, based on 2020 Signature experience owned by a relative. This would include partial front, modified by going full hood. The fenders seem to not pick up nearly so many chips as the hood, especially above the traditional partial hood. This was surprising to me.
This is is a three stage paint job, not including the clear coat. The same relative was rear ended, and the paint job was much more complex, even though the damage was minimal. New bumper cover and repair of the liftgate over $4K which including blending of quarter panels and maybe doors.

You won't be disappointed with a 2020 GTR awd turbo. Our local Mazda dealer has incentives and/or very low finance rates on new that are almost back to pre-covid deals. Some other models 0%. If you buy used, get a pre/post inspection by a competent shop, best money you will ever spend. Around here, flood cars and abused leases/rentals find their way into the online market.
