Default Theft-deterrent ?

I just bought the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with tech package option.
I notice that the lock symbol light flashes once every 2 sec when I lock the car with the keyless remote. However, I could not set off an alarm when opening the door through opened windows (with keyless remote kept far away) etc.
Does it mean the car does not have the theft-deterrent option (or alarm)?
It's confused because all Mazda CX-5 has the standard engine immobilized anti-theft option. Or do I miss anything?
Is theft-deterrent another option to be installed?
Thanks for your help.

Not knowing US spec models, there isn't a factory alarm on OZ & NZ spec CX-5's, nor a genuine accessory. You should be able to visit your local Mazda Website & look at CX-5 accessories.
