Default Suspension Noise 2020 Mazda Cx-5 FWD

Hey everyone,

I noticed that my cx5 has developed a grinding noise in the front end when I'm braking. The pads and rotors were changed less than 1000kms ago and I initially thought it was the dust plate rubbing but after inital inspection it is not the dust plates. I suspect that there is a bushing that is squeaking away but I've come here to see if anybody has run into this issue before.

I have a video of the noise which can be found at the link below:

Thanks for helping

I suggest as you are in CA (California) to go to the nearest firestone so they can check out your drivetrain, chassis, suspension and brakes.

Guessing from any forum member or forum would not be in your best interest based on a simple video.

I found the source of the sound. When I took the passenger side wheel off to inspect the brakes the brake pad clip had shifted and was rubbing against the surface of the rotor. I shaved it down a bit and the sound went away. I'm guessing it shifted a little after the dealer installed it or the clips were aftermarket and not quite the right size.

Welcome.
Thanks for letting us know the reason.
Hearing the sound in the video my first thought was warped rotor (even new ones can be bad).
As Cali posted, I also try to stay clear of guessing, as it usually causes more problems (and money) than finding the actual cause .
