My 2021 Mazda CX5 that I purchased on 3/31/21, will not start for me to go to work.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for your troubles. My Mazdas have never left me stranded. Could be a dead battery. Time to call the dealer or the number for emergency service.

Hopefully you can get this figured out and it doesn’t let you down again.

C'mon man!

I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that you're posting here for help, right? Or are you just complaining?

If you're looking for help don't you think that those who would like to help you would need a bit more information than just "my car won't start and I need to go to work"?

Seriously.

I found the purchase date helpful in diagnosing the problem.

People who post like this only know social media, where small bits of texting are exchanged in rapid fire succession. No need to think about what you're going to write, and try to produce a set of intelligent sentences which someone else can make some sense of. All you need to do these days is type any old gibberish fast and hit send. And when no one replied back to this one inside of 15 seconds, it became just another (of many) one and done. Sad to say, but I've actually become so used to seeing this stuff, that it's now the new normal to me.

While it doesn’t help that he did not reply with more information, cut the new guy some slack.

He just bought a new car and a week later it won’t start. I would be ticked off if it were me.

Cool

The OP hasn’t been back to the forum since he posted. Sure, his post gives no useful information, but in the spirit of helping a new member we should cut him some slack. No need to admonish him for not conforming to what you think is correct. The most obvious reason for a failure to start is a bad/dead battery. He can call Mazda Roadside Assistance for a jump or a tow to the dealership - free. Why the battery is bad, well there are several reasons but they won’t help him to get to work. I hope he can get a decent resolution to his problem.

In my world, if someone is going to ask for help, free help, on a forum, then it only makes sense to make it as easy for others to help as possible. Common sense no?

Why should we have to grill the dude for answers so that we can help him? I'm perfectly happy with helping someone if I can but that person has to put in some effort. Not just post one sentence and expect others to have to interrogate them in order to see what's going on.

Helplessness is not attractive.

+1, and I couldn't have said it any better.

I certainly could. A large percentage of folks who visit vehicle forums do so because they know very little about how their vehicle operates. Many don’t know enough to know how to ask, they just know they have a problem or question and they need help. If they are treated rudely they won’t be back - and we have lost a potentially valuable member.

Anyone who has much experience with internet forums knows that this behavior is extremely common across all disciplines. One reason for the existence of enthusiast forums - be they automotive or aeronautical or marine or basket weaving - is to provide help to those who need it. Elitist posturing and the demand that everyone must conform to the standards of “my world” does nothing to help others. It is pretty sad that some here appear to only want “their kind if people” to post on the forum. Shame.
