Squeaking when reversing - but it's not brakes
Our 2016.5 CX-5 had collision a few weeks back, someone not paying attention hit us from behind while we were at a stop. Since then, either due to the accident or repairs that were done (or maybe it's just a pure coincidence that it started after), we've had this persistent squeaking when reversing the car coming from the rear wheels or axle. The dealer suspected it was the brakes, so they replaced them. But it's still occurring and even seems to be getting worse. And now the dealer says they don't know what it could be and we just have to live with it. It doesn't seem right to be told we have to live with a defect like this.
Anyone else have any ideas what it could be or what we should do next if the dealer won't help?

My 2018 CX 3 is doing the same
Only when I put it in reverse it has a quick squeak and I can reverse fine. It almost sounds like the gear box in the back is changing because it sounds like electronics. Did you find out what’s wrong ?
