Default Sport mode switch broken

I just purchased a 2016 CX-5 Touring with very low miles. Everything is in perfect condition except the "Sport Mode" switch is broken. I've been looking for information on obtaining a replacement switch and what it may take to replace it. Can someone guide my in the right direction? Thank you

So, the switch is physically in pieces? It doesn't OHM out on a multimeter? or your CX-5 is not going into Sport Mode? See link: https://www.holidaymazda.com/blog/ma...to-sport-mode/

Sorry. It is physically broke and needs to be replaced. I haven't found a part number for it yet.

Well. Are you ready for this? I spoke with the parts guy at my local Mazda dealership and he gave me the following:

Part description: "Select Monitor Switch"
Part #: GMJ666YK0 (that last character is a zero).
Cost: $31.37
Availability: Texas, Pennsylvania and Irvine,California parts depots. "3 days out"

That's awesome. Thank you. My parts guy couldn't even find that part in his books. I guess I need a new parts guy.

As the old saying goes:"Your experience may vary." When you find a good parts person, stick with them. I've stopped going to some dealers for that very reason.

This has broken on my car. I tried to find videos on how to access it to repair or replace it, but i cannot find any for the CX5. Does anyone have a guide to get to that switch? Thank you!
