Spare key programming for 2016 CX-5
I have a working key fob SKE13E-02 but lost the spare. I have purchased a used fob from eBay and was wondering if there is a way to wipe it and reprogram it for my vehicle? Is there an OBD device which will allow me to do this myself, or will I need a pro?
Also, i just discovered that the used key I purchased is an earlier SKE13E-01 model. However, it's in great condition and it looks identical to the SKE13E-02 from the outside.
Can it be reprogrammed for my 2016 CX-5?
If not, can buy an non-OEM replacement from eBay and add the electronics inside it to the SKE13E-01 casing to give me a working Mazda- branded key fob?
The used SKE13E-01 I purchased from eBay is in better condition than my existing SKE13E-02. Can I move the electronics from my -02 to the -01? Will they fit or are they completely incompatible?
Many thanks for your help.
