Thank you everyone for sharing the cost. I am wondering if I should just leave it as is and have a complete paint spray job for 2k later in 7 years and sell the car. You know what i mean. The problem with film is I can't afford to protect the entire body and partial protection will still leave some issues. Just a thought, still debating what to do. Thank you

 

Have you had a quote for Soul Red? It may be more than 2k for a decent paint job nowadays. The front of the car takes the brunt of the damage. In 7 yrs people aren't expecting a flawless paint job anyway(on an SUV).

 

I have not had a quote for a paint job, but when the car is 7 years old and has a new paint job, the new customer is going to have to decide if he wants to buy my shiny new painted red soul or buy some other chipped dull car. I won't get the best job but then who cares at that point.

 

If it's anything like the old Earl Scheib $69.95 paint jobs, the potential buyer certainly will care.

 

Yeah, the Soul Red is a two stage paint so no way a complete replay for $2k.

I had Suntek installed. Full front end, hood, fenders back to front doors. A pillars and above the windshield. Door handle cups and door edges, mirrors. Did the B and C pillars in black. Top of rear bumper to protect it when loading trunk. $1500.
