Software update?
Looks like my system software is 11022. I've heard there's been some updates since then. Do I need to bring it in, or is there a way I can do that myself? (I've tried the over the air option but it says there's nothing new to download.)
Great topic — keeping your CX-5’s infotainment and CMU firmware up to date can really help with stability and features like Android Auto or CarPlay. Most owners say Mazda dealers still handle official updates, and OTA isn’t reliable on older CX-5s, so USB file installs are common if you know the correct region and version. It’s worth backing up your current version before trying anything. Also, for sharing logs or update steps with your service shop without old-school tools, I’ve used https://comfax.com/fax-without-fax-machine/ how to fax without a fax machine — works better than expected.
