Got a chance to drive a 2022 Lucid Air grand touring this afternoon. A friend of mine who is a salesman at the Cadillac dealer in Scottsdale called ad asked if i want to go to lunch. I said sure and drove over there. We went to lunch in a 2022 Lucid Air touring edition ,after lunch he said you want to drive it, I said hell yea. Big mistake ,I fell in love with it. He set me up ,and I need to get one of these some how some way in the near future. Driving home in my 2023 CX5 was extremely disappointing. I know the Lucid is almost 3 times the price ,but WOW what a fantastic vehicle .

 

Sigh, and I almost had a Porsche Macan Twin-Turbo instead of the CX-5.
Fortunately for me, I have a wife who keeps a steady hand on my 401K retirement account and two on hers.

 

That is the major obstacle for me as well . If you ever get a chance to drive a Lucid you will be astonished at the instantons smooth linearly power delivery ,and acceleration G's .OMG , I think I felt it move . I drove a Macan turbo, cramped and not nearly a nice a ride as the Cayenne. If I'm going to put up with the extremely high cost and frequency of maintenance ,parts ,
and deprecation of a German car ,it has to be comfortable
