Question Roof Rack Noise

I am planning to buy a CX-5 2018 or 2019. Plan also a Thule RoofRack. DO the Square bar Thule rack make noise when
driving. Does the aerobar one do better. My Mazda 3 2008 has thule square bar and it makes whistling noise.

My thule accessories for bikes (BigMouth and Pilot) would need conversion parts if i choose aero bars. Ski rack is OK.
WInd deflector is not an option.

Default Thule Rack

Do not have any experience with racks. However, here is a suggestion.

Try to do a search for Thule Customer Support and ask the question. I have done similar with other type of products and was able to get some good info that helped me move forward on a product.

Good luck.

Default Thule

Okay had a second cup of coffee. Did a little search and here are some brief comments.

> Square design has more noise issues than the Aero design.

. In reading a post about noise, they recommended the Thule Fairing even on the Aero design. Realize you don not want a fairing so it leaves you with some noise possibility , however a little less with the Aero design.

I would reach out to Thule directly to run this by them.

I will be experiencing a bunch a noise in a little while. My 4 year old grandson had a sleep over last night!

Regards,
Jim
