Default Request switch not unlocking doors on CX5

Hello everyone,

My car CX5 Signature is pretty new just 6 months old. My car was recently into a fender bender and the fender was replaced. The fender and doors were repainted. I picked the car off from the body shop yesterday. Since then I am getting a warning on my dash saying "Keyless System Malfunction" in amber color. I have seen I cannot use the small black button on the door (Request-switch) to open the doors on the driver or passenger side even when I have the key in my other hand. I am able to unlock/lock doors using a keyfob. Also, I have noticed the automatic door locking when I walk away from my car is not working. Also, the trunk request switch doesn't open the trunk when I am holding the key. All these were working before I dropped my car for repairs. Apart from that, the car starts correctly by pressing the start switch inside the car. What could be the reason?

Assuming your insurers picked up the repair bill, they'll surely also pay for Mazda dealer to sort (assuming bodyshop is clueless).

Yep- I say go back to the body shop and have them sort it as that is part of the repair.
