Replacing Mesh Bumper Molding Front Left Lower
I am wanting to replace my chrome bumper molding but was told that I will have to have to recalibrate (post repair scan and radar calibration) my front facing sensor after the repair. This is a $500 service from what I was told and I am needing to avoid it if at all possible. Any solutions are helpful. The chrome piece was bumped off and clips are still intact

Maybe some others can chime in, but I thought the sensors were in the Logo emblem (in the middle of the grille).
Unless the grille itself has been damaged and/or moved off center I don't know why that would need recalibrating.

The chrome is attached to the grill.
The grill is attached to the bumper.
Removal of the bumper does not involve touching the radar, which is bolted to the car/frame and not the bumper, the plastic Mazda logo is just Perspex.

Interesting about the radar, I wrongly assumed it was in the grille logo along with other electronics.
If there's nothing in the logo then can I replace the grille without a logo?
The part of my CX-5 I don't care for is the front grille logo, I'd rather have a plan mesh grille.

If you replace the complete grill you may need to recalibrate the sensor but not the plastic chrome pieces.
