Replacement Windshield
Go re-read my complete previous response!!!!!
As for messing with the factory seal.... why in the world would that be a concern when you use a qualified and certified by auto insurance companies auto glass shops that most all have certified glass installer doing the glass replacement.
They are more qualified than a Dealership/Mazda dealership body and or service department because if anything else that primarily all they do is service glass on vehicles.

I never mentioned dealer. I said factory as in the assembly plant.
Many vehicles from the auto manufactures over the decades have made windshield seal installation needing to be replaced from leaking. This generally means a good chance the windshield will break during removal. Most dealership in the USA will use an independent glass install either mobile or they deliver their customers vehicle to the glass shop for service. Dealerships service department or body shops are not always the best experienced with windshield R&R . In any case replacing the seal there is always a 50/50 chance the windshield will break during removal. An automotive glass shop tends to be more careful as they unlike the auto manufacturing automated windshield installation glass shops do it by hand manually. The other thing is many automotive windshields replacements come with the seal already on them and only the removing baking of the seal tape needs to be removed prior the install of the glass. The glass on most all newer Mazda requires min. 2 people to install.
Maybe if you want to learn all this about auto glass go get a job as a mobile mechanic, glass installer or in a jiffy lube to start a new career in the automotive service industry.
