My Wife owns a 2015 CX-5 Sport. Great little SUV. One thing she wished it had was an automatic rear lift gate. I think the CX-9 has that option. Is it possible to use the CX-9 parts to do an upgrade? Or would it be easier to buy an aftermarket kit? Anyone done this to their CX-5?

 

My solution was to buy a 2017 CX-5 Grand Touring. It has the power lift gate. Don't think a conversion is viable on the 2015.

 

There is an aftermarket kit out there somewhere (made in China I believe), but I think it's pretty pricey and not sure how good it is.
