Default Rattle at 35-45 mph

My 2020 CX5 GT started making a really annoying rattling noise a few months ago that only occurs between 35-45 mph. It’s been back to the dealer several times and their service people have not been able to find the source or cause of the noise so it continues. It’s really stressing me out to the point that I’m afraid to drive it long distances. Service at the dealer tightened everything related to the suspension, checked for loose objects under the engine, but still no fix. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can pass on to the service techs? I really need to get this fixed.

It might be helpful if you told us the year and trim of your CX-5.

Welcome to the forum

Did you do a ride along with a service advisor or service shop mechanic to have them hear what you are hearing?

They are always too busy to do that. They have heard it themselves, but always say it’s fixed when we pick it up, but it’s not. I’m just hoping someone here has some good ideas of the possible cause and solution. It’s not suspension as it isn’t dependent on a rough road or bumps. It just happens between 35-45 mph, and not all the time. I can drive somewhere and not hear it at all, but then it comes back, loud and clear, on the return trip. Or vice versa. It’s really frustrating and concerning.

I've read, heard about a couple things that might be doing it.
The hood support rod is not securing properly and can rattle at low speeds.
Make whatever adjustments needed to make sure it is securely resting in the holder.

Steerin wheel spline bolt is not tight (torqued properly)

Ok well insist next time! It's really part of customer service! Make an appointment in advance and or talk to the Service Manager next visit if the service writer will not "take the time for a customer ride along" !
