Call a mobile locksmith who has this capability.

Take it to your Mazda dealer who can program it via their MMDS/IDS ( Mazda's diagnostic laptop)

Generally a dealer will charge about twice as much as a mobile locksmith. Shop around!

Default Local Locksmith Is the way to go

I heve 2016 CX5, and got my key fob from ebay for $50. Just make sure all of the numbers listed under the metal key are identical to your original one. My local Mazda (near Chicago) wanted $250 for a new key fob plus programming and cutting fee. They refused to program my own key fob. Only 2 out of 5 local Locksmiths I called, offered to program my own key fob. Others expected me to order the key fob through them, lol. My locksmith charged me $58 for programming and cutting a new key. Can't beat it!! You just have to call around and don't go with the biggest locksmith, go with a local place usually family owned.
